An authentic Korean restaurant. We had three different meals; beef bulgogi, Korean friend chicken, and fried rice. Try it if Korean is your fancy!!! The kimchi is so fresh for kimchi and the restaurant is very clean.

This place is in the McCully shopping complex, just across the canal from Waikiki. I had the green noodles,with vegetables. It also had a hard-boiled egg, with a slightly spicy sauce. Everything was cooked well, and the aromasand flavours were so satisfying, like home cooking. It also came with pickled kim chee, pickled onion and jalapeño peppers, and a potato salad. Everything was good, a nice neighbourhood kind of place with friendly and helpful service.

So, though there are a lot of Korean foods incorporated in the Hawaiian plate lunches and there are a lot of Korean BBQ places in Honolulu, there don’t seem to be a lot of places that do Korean food that doesn’t focus on BBQ. This place is a solid choice for some good old standby Korean food dishes. You can tell that there dumplings/mandoo are home-made and generously portioned and cooked perfectly! Every dish was solid and generous in portion size. Highly recommend.
Best family style Korean restaurant

The restaurant has two location, Keeaumoku one and Mc Cully shopping center one. Second one is new place, beautiful inside and larger space that Keeaumoku one. I love to go there with family. Customers are almost local people so very comfortable atmosphere.
They may not use MSG, so I only can eat Korean foods in this restaurant. My family all love the restraint’s food, because the has wide selection.
Family friendly place so please try it.

Ireh did not disappoint. I’ve eaten at a lot of Korean restaurants in Seattle and Ireh tasted just as good. Flavors are authentic, service was attentive, and the restaurant is well lit and clean. I had the Bibim Meyon this time. It was $13 but remember, you also get banchan (side dishes) so I was plenty full at the end of the meal.

I’m no expert in Korean cuisine and it’s not usually on top of my list… but I love Ireh! So much so that I’m now a regular at their McCully Shopping Center location. The place is clean and the service friendly. The few varieties of fried chicken are all excellent, the last one I’ve tried was the spicy fried chicken & tuna – so good. I usually get one of those, combined with the several hot soup options they also have (all different, all good and a great second dish when ordering chicken). Generous portions of side dishes are also served. It’s one of those small, familiar restaurants where I can order the same thing and never leave disappointed. Parking can be frustrating but there is an underground level.

This is my must go to when I’m in town.
My kids love the mandoo from here & the jook/porriage is great.
I personally take side dishes home to add to my bibimbap.
It’s a bit pricey but for me, it’s a must at least once when in town.
